Category: FLAG

In the surfing world, Ghost Tree is an iconic - and cursed - wave ridden in the mid-2000s until it was declared inaccessible. Ghost Tree is a surf break located in Pebble Beach, California, just outside the 18th hole of Pebble Beach Golf Links in the Monterey Peninsula. The name of the spot was given by local surfers. It derives from the white and gnarly local cypress trees in the area and, in particular, from a spooky tree where the ghostly figure of a former land owner, Dona Maria - "The Lady in Lace" - has been spotted on dark foggy nights.

This hand-made flag uses a washed black duck canvas with an off-white screen print. Each flag is topped with a natural twine + twill tape and stamped with Slightly Choppy branding.

Colors: Off-white and Black

Richard ★★★★★

The fabric feels heavy-duty and the print of that legendary wave is sharp up close—it’s been through two windy beach days already without fraying. Every surfer I know who sees it gets this knowing look, which is exactly why it’s hanging in my garage now.

Bought this as a gift for a surfer friend and the print quality of the wave detail is surprisingly crisp—he instantly recognized the break. It’s a cool piece of surf history that feels more substantial than a typical cheap flag.

Hung this above my board rack and the colors pop way more than I expected for a $20-ish flag. Nice weight to the fabric too, it doesn't feel like those flimsy ones that shred after one season outside. Feels like a proper tribute to a wave most of us will never get to paddle into.
